An American black beauty Ebony Williams is a phenomenal Contemporary Ballet Dancer. Although she has started her career as a dancer since her childhood, she came to light after her performance with the most sizzling dancer and singer Beyonce as a backstage dancer. She has also worked with Rihanna, Ciara, Jason Derulo, Fergie, and Jennifer Hudson.
Ebony William is a native inhabitant of Boston, Massachusetts where she spent her childhood. She was just eight years old when she started her ballet dance training in the Boston Ballet. Due to a poor economic condition of her family, she could not afford dance classes. So, she learned basic jazz and ballet from her neighbor. She was selected for a ballet scholarship program in Boston Ballet’s Citydance when she was in grade three. Then her journey towards dancing started.
Ebony visited the Roxbury Center for the Performing Arts classes. In 2005, she graduated her education in a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Boston Conservatory. After that she was elected by the elite company with Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet. There she got an opportunity to learn new dance form besides ballet. In 2009, Ebony was featured in the movie “Adjustment Bureau” along with the company. But, after a decade, the elite company decided to get shut down. However, William was not ready to stop her career and started a new run of her life.
The versatile dancer shows up her different dance form by working with the known choreographers like Jacopo Godani, Ohad Naharin, Hofesh Schecter, Donald Byrd, Luis Fuente and others.
William gave the audition for the back stage dancer of Beyonce’s music video and was selected. This is the most memorable moment and great achievement of her life. Her great performance and savvy moves in the song “Single Ladies” by Beyonce made her a notable dancer. After this, she performed with Beyonce on different shows such as the American Music Awards, the Today Show, Saturday Night Live. She has also appeared in some commercial world.
She was also featured on different television shows like Americas’s Got Talent, 30 Rock, and SNL. Besides that, she was featured on the cover page of Dance Spirit, Dance Magazine and was also nominated as top 25 dancers to watch in Pointe Magazine.
In the present days, Ebony Williams attorney returned back to the Cedar Lake Conservatory to teach dance and share her experience to the young dancers.
