Rachel Meghan Markle who is set to join the elite royal family of Great Britain has some judicious statements about her New Year’s Resolution.
In her padlocked lifestyle project – The Tig, she revealed that her resolutions are always filled with same ole things that end up in disappointment.
The future wife of Prince Harry wrote on Jan 1, 2016, that her resolution is amassment of 4 goals:
“Run a marathon. Stop biting nails. Re-learn French. Stop swearing.”
In retrospect to the event, she also wrote that ”The marathon hasn’t happened. The swearing comes in lulls triggered by being overworked or feeling mighty cheeky after a couple drinks. Then there’s the French – a language I studied through high school and then lost as I immersed myself in speaking Spanish with the Argentinians during my stint in Buenos Aires.
I have put my little Rosetta Stone headset in my eager ears every year, resolving to do interviews en français, but much to my chagrin, it hasn’t stuck. And when it comes to the biting of the nails – well, it still happens with a turbulent flight or a stressful day. It’s unladylike. But then again, so is the swearing. Dammit”
Staggering in disappointment and keeping up with triumph or failure, she wrote that she isn’t going to have a resolution.
In vindication of her resolution faux pas, she told that it’s okay to have plans that don’t meet.
“You should always leave room for magic.”
Undoubtedly, this resolution functioned well for her as she met Prince Harry in July 2016 during a blind date set up by a common friend.
Reports confirmed that they were engaged on Monday, November 27. They are set to get married on St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle On May 19, 2018.
